Wheeling 4 Wellness 3 — Roll for Mental Health & Veterans, May 22–25 in Stuart, FL

Posted on May 16, 2026 | Community Events Tournament Updates Causes

Buttery Roller Co.'s third annual Wheeling 4 Wellness tournament hits Halpatiokee Park in Stuart, FL Memorial Day weekend. Four days of 4v4 roller hockey raising funds for the Florida Panthers Warriors Foundation and mental health awareness — and we're rolling with them.

Some weekends of hockey leave you tired. Others leave you fuller. Wheeling 4 Wellness is the second kind.

This Memorial Day weekend, May 22–25, 2026, Buttery Roller Co. is rolling out the third annual Wheeling 4 Wellness Tournament & Festival in Stuart, Florida — four days of 4v4 roller hockey supporting two causes that hit close to home for our entire community: mental health awareness and the U.S. veterans who made our weekends possible in the first place.

Who is Buttery Roller Co.?

If you haven't crossed paths with Buttery Roller Co. yet — change that. Run out of South Florida by Tony Aromandi, Buttery is one of the most consistent forces in the Florida roller hockey scene. They run the Buttery Beer League (multi-division Sunday /Monday/Tuesday play), the Buttery Olympics flagship tournament, a travel hockey program, and the Buttery Roller Foundation — a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) charity raising money for veterans, youth scholarships, and mental health work.

Behind every Buttery event is the same thread: roll hard, lift each other up, leave it better than you found it. That's the kind of inclusive, community-first culture Florida roller hockey is built on — and it's exactly why so many of us play this game.

What is Wheeling 4 Wellness?

Wheeling 4 Wellness started as a Mental Health Awareness Month tournament with one driving stat: 1 in 5 people suffer with mental illness, but 5 in 5 face challenges that impact their mental health daily. Hockey players are no exception. Locker rooms are loud — but the stuff that matters often goes unsaid.

This year, Wheeling 4 Wellness 3 doubles down. In addition to the original mental-health mission, W4W3 is partnering with the Florida Panthers Warriors Foundation to raise funds and awareness for U.S. veterans. The Warriors Foundation provides hockey programming and community for vets dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and physical disabilities — turning the rink into a place to heal, connect, and keep moving forward.

Two causes. One weekend. All proceeds tax-deductible through Buttery Roller's nationally recognized 501(c)(3).

Why Citrus Kings Cares

Florida roller hockey is small. We see the same families at Skate Station, the same rivals at ECHO and NARCH and Florida Cup, the same parents in the bleachers. This sport doesn't grow without the people inside it taking care of each other.

Mental health is real in our locker rooms. Some of you reading this have lost teammates and friends. Others are quietly grinding through tough seasons — at work, at home, in their own heads. We know. We've been there too.

And the freedom to chase a puck (or a ball) on four wheels on a Saturday morning? That's downstream of every man and woman who served. Memorial Day is a good time to put that out loud.

So yes — we're rolling with Buttery Roller on this one. Not as competitors that weekend. As family.
